Monika Kiripolsky, M.D., FAAD, To Present At Vegas Cosmetic Surgery Conference
New Treatment Protocols on Rejuvenation of the Decolletage To Be Revealed
IRVINE, Calif., June 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained cosmetic and laser surgeon Monika Kiripolsky, M.D., FAAD, will be lecturing on the topic of "Rejuvenation of the Decolletage" at the 9th Annual Vegas Cosmetic Surgery and Aesthetic Dermatology Conference at The Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas on June 28th.
Dr. Kiripolsky will discuss how to reverse aging of the delicate skin in the decolletage area. Attendees will hear about the latest treatment techniques to effectively combat wrinkled, thin, hyperpigmented, and rough skin on the chest and neck. Her lecture will focus upon the use of intense pulse light (IPL), poly-L-lactic acid, photodynamic therapy, chemical peels and fractional ablative as well as non-ablative lasers to achieve optimal results.
"Skin of the neck and upper chest is much thinner than skin on other areas of the body including the, arms and legs, which makes these areas of delicate skin more susceptible to sun damage and visible signs of aging over time," said Dr. Kiripolsky. "Signs of aging in the décolletage area are often neglected, as patients tend to focus more upon correcting the skin on the face. Thus, until relatively recently, the décolletage area was a clear reflection of one's true age. As research and technology have progressed, we are now lucky enough to be able to offer patients a variety of treatment options - which can be used alone or in combination - to effectively reduce wrinkling, sunspots skin thinning, volume loss, and other telltale signs of skin aging."
In addition to working at the renowned Obagi Skin Health Institute, Dr. Kiripolsky is also a well-respected author, speaker and expert on advanced therapies for varicose veins, fillers, botulinum toxin preparations, and various laser treatments for skin discoloration, scarring and wrinkles.
Dr. Kiripolsky attended Vanderbilt University's School of Medicine, during which timeshe also trained in dermatology in Barcelona, Spain. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Illinois, Chicago and went on to do an additional year of training via a fellowship in cosmetic surgery and lasers. Dr. Kiripolsky is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Medical Association, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Women's Dermatologic Society.
