ST. LOUIS, Dec. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --  Monsanto Company (NYSE: MON) announced it will issue the company's financial results for its fiscal 2012 first quarter and annual research and development pipeline update on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, prior to market open.

Monsanto will hold a conference call at 8:30 a.m. central time (9:30 a.m. eastern time) in conjunction with the announcement of its results. The call will focus on the company's results for the first quarter, future expectations and an annual update of new and progressing projects within Monsanto's R&D pipeline.  The call may include a discussion of Monsanto's strategic initiatives, product performance and other matters related to the company's business.
