NEWBURY PARK, Calif., March 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Moravia marks its 10th anniversary in Japan with a new office, a growth in staff and expanded services to meet increasing demand for Japanese localization solutions.
This month Moravia moves to a new office in Tokyo, 10 years after the company first opened its doors in Japan. Located in Tokyo's Shinjuku business district, the new office will house Moravia's rapidly growing team and provide ample space for future growth.
Takao Tanaka, group manager of Moravia's Japan operations, said that recovery and growth in Japan, combined with the explosion in global companies both targeting and exporting from the Asia Pacific region, have fueled Asian demand for non-traditional language localization services.
"The challenges in marketing global brands in other parts of the world are far more complex than they used to be," Tanaka said. "It's no longer a matter of providing straightforward localization services. Global brands need to adapt their messages to new media and technologies that are constantly evolving, and we're expanding our Tokyo operations to focus on the specific needs of the Asia Pacific region."
Social media adoption, content curation, mass personalization and transcreation, whereby brands adapt their existing campaigns to meet the needs of multiple markets and languages, are major trends fueling the demand for broader localization services in Asia, Tanaka said.
In 2004, Moravia was the first-ever Czech-owned enterprise to open a production facility in Japan, and was initially assisted by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), whose mission is to promote foreign direct investment into Japan.
Moravia's Tokyo office complements the company's Asian production hub based in Nanjing, China, which also supports all Asian languages and language locales. Moravia's new Tokyo office is located at:
