Morgan Crucible Extends AT&T Managed Hosting Service

LONDON, Jan. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Morgan Crucible, one of the world's leading manufacturing companies has chosen to renew its contract with AT&T* to provide a full array of global communications services to support the deployment of a range of enterprise-wide applications and services. The three year, $6 million contract is designed to enable the deployment of global applications across more than 80 sites in Europe, Middle East & Africa, Asia Pacific, Canada and Latin America and the United States to support seamless communications across the company.

By outsourcing its online infrastructure, Morgan Crucible can extend the reach of its IT team, allowing them to focus on other activities and delivering additional value to the business. Morgan Crucible looked to AT&T's Managed Hosting and Network-Based Virtual Private Network (VPN) to increase team productivity and efficiencies globally and to improve its business critical systems such as enterprise resource planning, email and financial consolidation. In addition to enhancing day-to-day operations, Morgan Crucible is employing tools such as AT&T's Application Traffic Analyser service to monitor network performance in an attempt to avoid system anomalies across its 80 global sites and ultimately to ensure a reliable network for its users world-wide.
