Moringa Wellness sponsors KTM Enduro Event in South Africa in support of cancer initiatives
BOCA RATON, Fla., Sept. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Moringa Wellness, South African manufacturers of healthy, top-quality Moringa traditional and functional line of products, sponsors the Sam Damalis Trust fund in support of the KTM Zambia to fund the UTH Children's Cancer Unit in Lusaka, South Africa.
Sam Damalis Trust Fund is a nonprofit organization that assists with treatment and facilities partnering up with organizations to host events like the KTM Enduro Event that took place Sept. 1 at the Bunde Farms in Makeni. Attendees enjoyed motorbike entertainment, kid's entertainment, good local food and beverages and Moringa Wellness energy bars.
"The Bunde Farm Hare Scramble is a change to our usual enduro/off-road type races in that it is broken up into MX-type, one hour heats," David Reeve, three-time Dhakar race participant and top biker in Zambia, said. "These heats are very demanding as it is a sprint for one hour and 15 minutes or so. This requires a lot of energy and stamina. Moringa Wellness bars are a major part of my pre- and after-race routine for energy and recovery."
Moringa Wellness uses Moringa oleifera, also known as Miracle Tree, to manufacture its nutrient-rich energy and fruit bars because it's the most nutrient rich plant that benefits the human body by enhancing cardiac and circulatory stimulation, preventing tumors and ulcers, reducing fever, working as diuretic, and lowering cholesterol.
"These bars are vital, and I wouldn't consider racing without them," Reeve said. "Moringa Wellness not only supports athletes, but also makes a huge contribution to the Children Cancer Ward in Teaching Hospital in Lusaka. A phenomenal humanitarian contribution in our community."
All Moringa Wellness products are unique to the United States market because they contain Moringex. Moringex is a water-soluble and fast-absorbing ingredient that's derived using a reverse osmosis technique of the Moringa leaves, sourced from Zambia and Malawi, Africa, which are later spray dried and added to products. Its purpose is to remove the Moringa flavor without removing its nutrients and functionality, so that muffins, cereals, powders and other foods can be made lacking Moringa flavor.
