Morningstar Executive Margaret Kirch Cohen Joins CL-Media Relations as Partner

CONCORD, Mass. and CHICAGO, June 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CL-Media Relations, LLC, a leading public relations firm focused on the asset management and financial services industries, is pleased to announce that Margaret Kirch Cohen, APR, has joined as a partner and head of the firm's new Chicago presence.

Kirch Cohen, most recently head of corporate communications for Chicago-based Morningstar, Inc. (NASDAQ: MORN), has more than 25 years of experience in strategic communications, with management and roll-up-your-sleeves expertise in media relations, crisis/issues management, internal communication, executive communications, M&A communication strategy, social media, financial/shareholder communications, and community relations.

Before joining CL-Media, Kirch Cohen led corporate communications for Morningstar, a leading provider of independent investment research, for 15 years. Earlier, she was director of corporate communications for 360 Communications (the wireless spinoff of Sprint) in Chicago; vice president of corporate communications for Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh (now BNY Mellon); and director of corporate communications for Phelps Dodge Corp. in Phoenix. She has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Northern Arizona University and is accredited in the profession of public relations.

Richard Chimberg, who co-founded CL-Media with Lazarus in 2006, will remain with CL through June 2016, transitioning client work to his partners before returning to journalism.
