NEW YORK, Sept. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Morrison & Foerster LLP has been recognized for its Advance@Work™ app, which was awarded a Gold Stevie® Award in the Professional Education App category at the 11th annual American Business Awards last night.
The Advance@Work™ app, which is available for iPhones and iPads, offers users practical professional education on employment law issues, such as sexual harassment and workplace bullying. It is designed to help users, typically human resources professionals, senior management, in-house legal counsel and others, navigate sexual harassment training requirements at both the federal and state level.
"We're very proud to have Advance@Work™ recognized by the American Business Awards," said Sharon Parella, a Partner at Morrison & Foerster and the innovator behind the app. "As new laws and trends continue to impact the evolving American workplace, education is critical to the success of both employers and employees. Over the coming months, we will be adding new features to the app, including surveys on workplace bullying and job burnout and additional videos on important topics."
The American Business Awards are the nation's premier business awards program, and entries are judged by business professionals from around the world. All organizations operating in the United States are eligible to submit nominations.
