Mozido Names Monica L. Woo as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer

Woo has joined the company as Executive Vice President, and Global Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer. 

In this capacity, Ms. Woo will be responsible for Mozido's overall brand strategy, communications, and customer experience across channels, as well as key business-building initiatives.

Mozido's highly scalable, plug-and-play platform works with virtually any mobile network operator and mobile device, and can also be accessed via the internet, and point-of-sale devices. Both the World Bank and the GSMA recognize Mozido as a leader in the multi-channel financial services space.

Before joining Mozido, Ms. Woo was Chief Marketing Officer of the iconic Sears brand.  In 2009-2011, Ms. Woo served as the Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer of FreshDirect Holdings, where she increased customer acquisition by 67%, and helped grow revenue by a record 21%.

Previously, she served as Chief Marketing & Merchandising Officer of 1-800-Flowers.com, followed by a promotion to President of the flagship Consumer Floral division, where she built the brand from $110 million to $500 million. 

Besides e-commerce retail, Ms. Woo has extensive experience in financial services. She oversaw the creation of Deutsche Bank's first online retail investment bank in Latin America, and developed and launched Citibank On-line. Ms. Woo had held senior leadership positions with multi-national consumer packaged goods companies, including the role of Senior Vice President, Marketing - European Region, at Diageo PLC, and President of Bacardi Global Brands, Bacardi Corporation.

Ms. Woo graduated, cum laude, from Mills College with a B.A. in Journalism, and received her MBA from The Wharton Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania.
