These senior leaders will augment MS&LGroup's robust healthcare strategy and contribute to the creation of new products and services. In addition to supporting more than 75 healthcare professionals across North America, these new hires will work with top clients, including Eli Lilly & Co., Genentech, Pfizer, sanofi-aventis and Solvay (now part of Abbott).

Ellena Friedman is joining MS&LGroup as a Senior Vice President, Director of the Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice and Deputy Managing Director in Boston. In this role, she will build on the success of current client offerings in medical technology and healthcare, and expanding capabilities in biotechnology and life sciences. Previously, Friedman was a senior vice president at Feinstein Kean Healthcare and brings with her over 20 years of strategic planning experience in the corporate, public policy, crisis management, marketing, and communications sectors.
Christine Abbott joins MS&LGroup as a Senior Vice President, Healthcare in the New York office. In this role, she will work on disease awareness education campaigns for the agency's key clients. Abbott brings more than 10 years of experience in conceiving and launching general market and multicultural grassroots programs for pharmaceutical companies. In addition to her vast consumer experience, Abbott spent much of her career in data communications working on FDA approvals, data publicity and issues management.
Trine Hindklev, Senior Vice President, Media Relations, has more than 15 years of experience developing national and global media relations campaigns for Fortune 500 companies. Her media relations expertise includes strategic media planning, digital/social media integration and media analysis/metrics. At MS&LGroup her focus will be to provide strategic counsel for key accounts. Additionally, she will be responsible for overseeing MS&L Studios, a full-service production and media training consultancy. Prior, Hindklev oversaw the media relations network at Chandler Chicco Agency for six years, and advised numerous pharmaceutical and healthcare clients.
In Jeff Young's role as Vice President, Editorial Services for the Healthcare Practice, he will specialize in fusing the science and brand imperatives into compelling stories. He will provide communications counsel to support leading brands in the pharmaceutical, diagnostic and medical devices industries. Young spent the past decade in senior editorial positions at top public relations agencies, most recently, Burson-Marsteller.
As previously announced, Mike Huckman joins MS&LGroup as a Senior Vice President and the Director of Healthcare Media Strategy. An award-winning journalist, he will provide senior media counsel and serve as a thought leader in the industry. At CNBC, Huckman covered the drug, biotechnology and medical device industry.
Anita Manning joins MS&LGroup as a Senior Strategist, counseling clients and providing messaging using a journalistic lens. Previously a reporter for USA Today, Manning will rely on that skill set to provide insight and create the tools needed to remain competitive in the marketplace.
