Multiple Energy Technologies Inks Deal with Hockey Star Alexei Kovalev's AK27 Enterprises to Distribute in Russia
-- Products Integrated with BIO Power Added to AK27's Popular Training System --
PITTSBURGH, April 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Multiple Energy Technologies, the maker of BIO Power™ technology, is pleased to announce a deal with AK27 Enterprises to distribute the company's products in Russia, the first market to get the BIO Power brand outside the U.S. AK27 is owned by Russian hockey star Alexei Kovalev, a veteran NHL star who has played more than 1,300 games and won a Stanley Cup during his illustrious career. BIO Power will be released in Russia in April 2013.
"We're excited about the prospect of expanding the reach of BIO Power to an international audience, and we're especially proud of our association with Alex and his high-caliber training system," said Steven Midttun, president of Multiple Energy Technologies. "With the ability to enhance training by helping to create balance within the body, BIO Power can provide athletes with the advantage they need to compete at their highest level."
BIO Power is an integrated dual technology based on the therapeutic effects of bioceramics and vibrational therapy. The technology is integrated into apparel and other products during and after the manufacturing process to help the body restore itself and generate natural energy.
Bioceramics are ultrafine mineral particles extracted from the Amazon rainforest that have photo-thermal properties. When heated by the human body, the minerals emit far infrared radiation that increases cellular metabolism, induces analgesia, promotes muscle relaxation, and decreases inflammation and oxidative stress. Bioceramics also have reflective properties that enable the material to echo infrared radiation naturally emitted by the body.
Vibrational therapy is the practice of manipulating energy fields to affect health. The human biofield is a network of complex electromagnetic fields engendered by the movement of sub-atomic particles. BIO Power products are imprinted with signature frequencies that transmit to the user upon contact, rebalancing the energy fields that help to regulate cellular physiology. Lab tests conducted with a pre-clinical model of post-operative pain show that bioceramics and vibrational therapy are singularly effective, but when combined they present enhanced synergy.
"Athletes at every level are always looking for a competitive edge to help them to be faster, stronger and perform at the highest level possible, and I am no exception," Kovalev said. "BIO Power is one more component to the training system I've been working on for my entire career, and I can tell you after all this time – it works."
Kovalev has played in the NHL for the Ottawa Senators, Montreal Canadiens, Pittsburgh Penguins, and New York Rangers, with whom he won a championship in 1994 and became one of the first Russians (along with Alexander Karpovtsev, Sergei Nemchinov and Sergei Zubov) to have his name engraved on the Stanley Cup. He currently plays for the Florida Panthers. Kovalev's company, named AK27 after his explosive on-ice moniker, develops innovative training systems that use resistance bands to achieve muscular balance.
