VAN NUYS, Calif., Aug. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Munchkin, Inc., designer and manufacturer of clever infant and toddler products, announced the promotion of Petty Rader to general counsel. Rader joined Munchkin in 2009 and most recently held the position of vice president and corporate counsel. In her new position, Rader will leverage her extensive legal knowledge to direct and manage all the company's legal matters, as well as compliance and human resource functions.

Rader brings to her new role considerable legal experience, including several years of practicing litigation, corporate and intellectual property law at various firms in Los Angeles. During this time, she was deemed a "Rising Star" by Los Angeles Magazine for three consecutive years, a prestigious distinction earned only by 2.5 percent of California lawyers under 40, or who have been in practice for 10 years or less.

Prior to her career in the legal field, Rader served as a brand manager for Procter & Gamble.
