The Boldts received their awards today during a General Session of NACD's Annual Meeting, where they were commended for their unwavering commitment to the mission and goals of the Association and consistently promoting the benefits of NACD and Responsible Distribution. They were also recognized for strong and positive leadership both on the regional and national level and for always putting the Association first. Last year's award winner Bruce Whetter, President, Americhem Sales, presented the awards. In doing so he said, "For years, both Donna and Jim have worked tirelessly to make our industry even better. Their commitment to service, quality and excellence has benefited NACD tremendously and we are all proud that Donna and Jim Boldt are each winners of the Distributor of the Year."
Donna Boldt began her service to the association back in 2002 when she chaired the Factory Pack Industry Council. She also served on the Supplier Relations Committee for three years. She then became a Director-at-Large on the Board for three years all while beginning to climb through the ranks of Officers in the Southern Region, including President.
Jim Boldt served on the Government Affairs Committee for several years, ending with the Chairman role. He then took over as the Chairman of the NACD Responsible Distribution PAC and really helped reinvent that program. His commitment to grassroots advocacy and his strong leadership has helped the association become more proactive in its advocacy efforts and placed the association in a better position to have influence in Washington, D.C.
The National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD), established in 1971, is an international association of chemical distributor companies that purchase and take title to chemical products from manufacturers. Member companies process, formulate, blend, re-package, warehouse, transport, and market these chemical products exclusively for an industrial customer base of approximately 750,000 in the United States. This year, NACD celebrates the 20th Anniversary of Responsible Distribution, an initiative designed by and for members as an independent program specific to the domestic and global needs of the chemical distributor, as well as the 40th anniversary of the Association.
