Uniquely focused on the world's most successful child photographers, the inaugural NAPCP Image Competition featured a range of image categories, including humor, connection, celebration, innocence, and joy. Images from hundreds of entrants were carefully judged by a panel of acclaimed photographers according to impact, technical merit, and composition & creativity.
"NAPCP strives to recognize the accomplishments and creative excellence of its child photographer members," said Alice Park, co-founder and president, NAPCP. "The competition judges were extremely impressed by the quality of the images submitted by our members, whose collective talent for child photography is simply amazing."
The NAPCP Image Competitions—to be held twice a year—reward its winners with medallions, priority listing on the NAPCP directory, vendor endorsements, and membership points.
"The art of child photography has really come into its own in recent years and is now getting the attention it richly deserves thanks to NAPCP," said Rachel LaCour Niesen, a NAPCP image competition judge, professional photographer, and co-founder of ShootQ. "Winners of the NAPCP Image Competition should be extremely proud of their impressive work."
