Members of the Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program pledge donations on an ongoing basis, in advance of major disasters, to help the Red Cross ensure an immediate response to meet the needs of those affected by disasters of all sizes, at no cost and regardless of income.

"Thanks to the support of National Grid and other companies and foundations, the Red Cross can immediately respond to the needs of people impacted by disaster in the United States," said American Red Cross President and CEO Gail McGovern. "Members of this program generously help create a reliable funding base for disaster relief services, providing food, shelter, emotional support and other essential assistance to disaster victims."

"National Grid is proud to partner with the American Red Cross and other ADGP partners to support the vital services provided by the Red Cross in time of crises," said National Grid U.S. President Tom King. "As a gas and electric company we join the Red Cross and the cadre of first responders when disaster strikes. Our employees have worked side by side with Red Cross volunteers during disasters such as those brought on by Hurricane Sandy, so we know and appreciate all they do to bring relief when people need it most. This is a partnership that just makes sense."

"The generous donations from Annual Disaster Giving Program members help the Red Cross assist disaster survivors and support volunteers who work tirelessly at the disaster scene," said Neal Litvack, Red Cross chief development officer. "All money donated by the program members and by the general public is essential to our ability to fulfill the mission of the Red Cross."
