National Kidney Foundation and Cadillac to Raise Green on the Green
NEW YORK, May 17 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Cadillac was named title sponsor of the National Kidney Foundation Golf Classic, one of the largest amateur golf programs for charity in the U.S., the Foundation announced today.
"We're thrilled to welcome Cadillac to our golf classic," said John Davis , National Kidney Foundation CEO. "This partnership will enable NKF to enhance our tournaments and will enable us to provide additional support to the 26 million Americans, one in nine adults, with chronic kidney disease."
More than 30 local National Kidney Foundation Cadillac Golf Classic tournaments are scheduled to be held at prestigious courses in major U.S. cities in 2010. The top three qualifying foursomes from each local event are invited to compete in the NKF Cadillac Golf Classic National Championship at California's famed Pebble Beach in January 2011. The 2010 U.S. Open will be played at Pebble Beach in June.

All amateur golfers are welcome to play in NKF Cadillac Golf Classic tournaments in which four-person teams compete in a scramble format.
Since 1981, more than 100,000 golfers have participated in local NKF golf tournaments raising more than $80 million for NKF community early detection screenings, public and professional education programs, patient support services, organ donation programs and research.
