National League of Cities Announces 2016 Leadership and Board of Directors

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National League of Cities (NLC) today named its 2016 leadership and board of directors at the annual Congress of Cities and Exposition in Nashville, Tenn. The membership elected Joplin, Mo. Councilmember and former Mayor Melodee Colbert-Kean to serve as NLC's 2016 president, Councilmember Matt Zone of Cleveland, Ohio as first vice president and Little Rock, Ark. Mayor Mark Stodola as second vice president.

All officers are selected by nominating committee and are elected by NLC's membership to serve a one-year term. NLC's 2015 president, Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker, will serve as the organization's immediate past president.
