"I am thrilled that San Antonio will host more than 3,000 local officials for the 2019 City Summit," said National League of Cities (NLC) President Melodee Colbert-Kean, councilmember, Joplin, Missouri. "Our conference will be a great opportunity for local officials from across the country to see the innovative and unique things happening in San Antonio. The city's vibrant and rich culture make it a great location for City Summit, and I know that attendees will have a memorable and enriching experience."
City Summit includes educational content on pressing challenges facing city leaders and numerous networking activities in and around the host city. Attendees will hear from prominent speakers and issue experts, participate in leadership training sessions, attend issue-specific workshops and engage in mobile workshops held throughout the city.
The summit is also a forum for many NLC's Governance activities and includes meetings and events by the Board of Directors, policy and advocacy committees, member committees and constituency groups. The event concludes with NLC's annual membership meeting. The Exposition showcases a variety of products and services available to cities.
Registration is still open for this year's conference in Pittsburgh, held November 16-19, 2016.
