National Trust Holiday Cottages Offers More Choice for 2011 Holidays at Home

SWINDON, England, Nov. 19, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- National Trust Holiday Cottages has launched its new 2011 holiday cottage brochure, featuring 400 cottages in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The brochure includes over 20 new cottages for 2011 in locations across England, Wales and Northern Ireland as well as a new 'celebration' collection which showcases a range of holiday cottages which are ideal for larger groups, many of which offer catering services.

The Trust has also added a new red squirrel logo to indicate which of the properties provide early booking offers throughout the year and a holiday snaps competition which provides the chance to win a free cottage stay.

In addition, the expanded brochure also provides increased information on each of the properties as well as on the locality and key sites which can be explored by those staying in the cottages.

The new holiday cottages in Ireland, England and Wales which have been added to the Trust's collection provide something for everyone, with a wide range of last minute cottages and self catering cottages.  The new brochure also includes a variety of properties which are pet friendly, like Risemoor in Northumberland which can sleep six people plus an additional two dogs, through to Lower House in Somerset which even has its own stables and paddocks and access to the West Somerset coast and Bossington beach which is ideal for an early morning canter.

Marianne Wanstall, head of Holidays for the National Trust, said: "We want people to really make the most of the outdoors in 2011 and with our cottages located in areas of the most wonderful coastline and countryside in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, we offer unique holidays for people to get out and experience the outdoors. From water sports weekends to gentle walking breaks, there's a National Trust cottage for every type of holiday."
