Nation's Employee Resource Groups and Diversity Councils Converging on Washington D.C. October 15th and 16th
WASHINGTON, Aug. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- "Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Diversity Councils are vital links for improving organizational results; however to remain impactful and effective, they need opportunities to increase their skills and knowledge and to learn and share best practices. They need opportunities to network, celebrate and grow", says Philip Berry, Executive Director of the Association of ERGs & Councils and co-host of the Conference.

This is the purpose of the 3rd Annual 2014 ERG & Council Conference set for October 15-16 in Washington D.C. It is a two day event featuring 2 workshops, 8 concurrent sessions, an assembly session, and the 2014 ERG & Council Honors Award™ dinner and ceremony with live jazz and wine networking reception. About 400 participants representing over 140 U.S. organizations are expected.
"Our list of blue chip sponsors are crucial to keeping the registration affordable - under $800 for a 2 day conference. Our session facilitators are themselves everyday front line best practice leaders", says Linda Stokes, President & CEO of PRISM International, Inc, parent of the Association and co-host of the Conference.
This year's theme is "Learn, Lead, Leverage." "We want attendees to have many opportunities to learn from best practice leaders and to gain important insights that will help to enhance their performance", says Berry. Stokes adds, "We also want them to renew and recharge - to network, grow and celebrate."
An exciting feature of the Conference is the annual 6th Annual 2014 ERG & Council Honors Award™ Dinner and Ceremony with live jazz and wine networking reception. The ERG & Council Honors Award™ is the premiere annual national award that recognizes, honors and celebrates the outstanding contributions and achievements of ERGs and Diversity Councils. These groups lead the diversity and inclusion process within their organizations and demonstrate results in their workforce, workplace and marketplace. Recipients receive their awards on stage at this event.
"We strongly encourage and invite all organizations with ERGs, BRGs and Diversity Councils who really believe that they are an essential partner in developing and implementing a strategic focus within their organizations to invest in their members by having them participate in this Conference", says Berry.
