CHEVY CHASE, Md., Aug. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- WeddingWire, the nation's leading site for wedding reviews, is thrilled to unveil an updated WeddingWire Rated program for the wedding industry. WeddingWire now provides access to badges that celebrate professionals' growing number of reviews. The ratings program is based on over a million newlywed reviews of over 200,000 wedding professionals in the US and Canada, from wedding venues to wedding photographers.

The revamped WeddingWire Rated badges will distinguish professionals as they collect feedback from clients. Eligible WeddingWire members will earn immediate access to an updated badge once they've gained 3 (blue), 10 (bronze), 25 (silver), 50 (gold), and 100 (black) reviews.  Once professionals receive 100 or more reviews, the final badge will transform to black, indicating that the business has joined an elite group and will receive additional benefits within their WeddingWire account, including a suite of marketing tools.

The new dynamic badges will automatically update and display the current number of reviews allowing engaged couples to view a business' status wherever the badge is placed. Any wedding professional with an average rating of 3.5 or higher is qualified to participate in the new WeddingWire Rated program.

"WeddingWire is pleased to celebrate the successes of professionals who have received positive reviews," said Sonny Ganguly, Chief Marketing Officer, WeddingWire. "The updates to the WeddingWire Rated program will empower wedding professionals to showcase their Rated badge. WeddingWire Rated serves as a guide for engaged couples to further illustrate the business' commitment to providing exceptional service."

WeddingWire is the largest review system in the wedding industry. It is the only site where each review must meet strict guidelines in order to be included. WeddingWire only allows reviews to be submitted by real newlyweds who used that service.

"My clients have said reading newlywed reviews were invaluable," said Kelli Noel of Kelli Noel Weddings in Denver, Colorado. "Reviews provide them with insight into achieving their dream wedding and with the WeddingWire Rated program, they can identify professionals who have established a high quality of reviews."
