SPOKANE, Wash., Nov. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- People to People Ambassador Programs, the leader in global educational travel experiences, is offering one creative student a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate on a 14-day international student travel adventure to England and France via a contest with Scholastic. Eligible students and fans of The 39 Clues™ adventure series have until December 3, 2012 to enter the Travel Adventures Essay Contest for a chance to explore the world like the Cahills, the brother and sister duo from the popular adventure novels.
"Our unique international student trips offer an immersive experience in culture and history just like the adrenaline-charged 39 Clues book series," said Peg Thomas, president of People to People Ambassador Programs. "We're excited that Scholastic and People to People are bringing adventure and excitement to one lucky reader through our global travel program."
The contest is open to junior high and high school students in grades 5-8. To enter the Travel Adventures Essay Contest students must write a 200-word creative essay responding to The 39 Clues essay prompt found at www.scholastic.com/peopletopeople/. Entries will be judged equally on responding fully to the topic, creativity, as well as spelling and grammar; and essay structure.
All entries must be received by December 3, 2012. No purchase is necessary to win. One student will be awarded the grand prize, a 14-day People to People Ambassador Program trip to England and France during summer 2013. All entries received in November will also be entered into a random drawing to receive an Apple iPod.
