Native Traits Corporation Announces the Launch of its EaSY (TM) Inbred Line Conversion Program

KALAMAZOO, Mich., March 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Native Traits Corporation is pleased to announce the successful launch of its EaSY (TM) inbred line conversion program.

As Dr. John L. McIntyre, the Executive Vice President, Business Development for Native Traits noted, EaSY is a naturally-occurring trait that will improve the yield of corn inbreds by around 50 percent. 

"The prospect of improving inbred yields is very exciting," said McIntyre, "as it results in a reduction in production costs and increased profits for the producer.  To our knowledge, this is the first commercial trait that increases inbred yield to this extent."

Dr. James W. Friedrich, the President and CEO of Native Traits, pointed out other advantages of the EaSY program.  Native Traits expects to launch a series of naturally-occurring traits that can be stacked on EaSY.  Cold tolerance and drought resistance are just two examples of traits that will make corn less vulnerable to environmental stress.
