NBTY Receives Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award for Corporate Leadership
Company honored at dinner to benefit Long Island Cares, Inc.

NBTY has worked closely with Long Island Cares to feed the hungry, support services for the homeless and expand children's nutrition services. To help LI Cares better serve additional communities, NBTY provided the organization with funds to open a new office in Lindenhurst Village. In the days and months following Superstorm Sandy, NBTY and its Associates made substantial contributions to support storm victims across Long Island. This year, NBTY has also partnered with LI Cares through the company's charitable organization, NBTY Helping Hands, by donating thousands of backpacks filled with new school supplies, by sponsoring the annual Concert for Children's Hunger Awareness and by sponsoring (with LI Cares and the Long Island Ducks)Hunger Awareness Day at Bethpage Ballpark to celebrate national Hunger Action Month.
