NCB Capital Impact Again Receives Highest CARS™ Rating
WASHINGTON, Jan. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NCB Capital Impact (Capital Impact) announced today that it had again received the highest rating from the CDFI Assessment and Rating Service (CARS™) for 2012. For the fourth straight year, Capital Impact received an AAA +1 rating. The AAA is the highest mark for the organization's social impact, and the numerical part of the rating, which ranges from a high of 1 to a low of 5, measures financial strength and performance of the institution.
"We are extremely proud of our CARS rating," said Terry Simonette , President and CEO of NCB Capital Impact. "Once again, we have been recognized for our strong financial performance and social impact. It lets investors know that they can trust our programs to return their money, while making a difference in the lives of moderate to low-income people and communities. It illustrates that there is such a thing as a good investment that does good works."
CARS™ is an independent project of the Opportunity Finance Network (OFN), a national network of Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), which are private financial institutions that are 100% dedicated to delivering responsible, affordable lending to help low-income, low-wealth, and other disadvantaged people and communities join the economic mainstream.
