New ARAG Research: Legal Plans Save Time, Reduce Stress

DES MOINES, Iowa, Nov. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- New research from ARAG®, a global provider of legal solutions, demonstrates the return on investment plan administrators can expect when they offer a legal plan – a plus for employers looking to boost their benefits offering without taking on substantial cost.


"Nearly 60 percent of clients believe their benefit offering is more innovative than other employers because of legal," said David Murray, President and CEO of ARAG. The ARAG study titled, "An HR Professional's Return on Investment in an ARAG Legal Plan," looked at monthly customer satisfaction surveys, ARAG's 2012 Annual Client Satisfaction survey, responses from recently implemented clients and research conducted by Russell Research and ARAG in 2013 (and presented in ARAG's De-Stress Zone white paper).  The research showed:

  • 92 percent of new clients report that implementing an ARAG legal plan is easy.
  • 85 percent say an ARAG legal plan takes less time to implement than other benefits.
  • Each employee with an ARAG legal plan saves an average of $2,300 per legal issue and spends six fewer hours dealing with their situation.
  • 87 percent of employees with an ARAG legal plan feel less stressed because they have the plan.
