After Solovey welcomed everyone, Jessica Walker, President of MCC spoke. She applauded the new owners' commitment to healthcare and stated as prime real estate location it was commendable they kept it as a rehabilitation and nursing facility.
Both Solovey and Walker then acknowledged U. S. Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney who has served in Congress for 24 years, and is a recognized national leader with extensive accomplishments on financial services, national security, the economy, and women's issues. The Congresswoman was presented with the Outstanding Service Award for her longstanding commitment to her District and the Nation. She graciously accepted the recognition and thanked both organizations. The Congresswoman called the Center a hidden gem and a modernized world class facility with a caring professional staff. Solovey concluded the program by expressing his gratitude to the Center's newest healthcare partners and hospital systems.
