New Book Reveals That 13-Year-Old Boy Was Sexually Molested by His Father While His Mother Lay in a Hospital Bed
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., June 28 /PRNewswire/ -- It was early 1979 in Memphis, TN when a little boy was taken to his parent's bedroom and sexually molested by his father and afterwards went into a downward spiral. This is what happens in the breathtaking autobiography, "A Father's Double Life," which was published April 2nd, and is brilliantly told by author Michael Cavicante.
From the moment you start reading, "It grabs a hold of you and doesn't let you go until you are done, and even then, has you wanting more!!" said Richard Hill, MBA, professor.
The story is centered around Michael being sexually molested by his very own father, which he describes in graphic detail, and how he deals with it afterwards. But this amazing tale is about more than just that. It is a story about the things that the average, everyday teenager goes through, whether male or female. Michael deals with peer pressure, wanting to fit in and insecurities about himself, which includes his weight and physical features, wanting a relationship with his dad, poverty, etc. All of these topics are covered in this masterful work and is a must-read for people of all ages and genders. (Due to some of the graphic content of this book, it is not recommended for ages 17 or under.)
Michael takes the reader on a spellbinding, roller-coaster ride of emotions, as he has a way of telling a story that will certainly pull at your heartstrings. This book will carry the reader through hatred of some of the characters, to pure and heavenly joy at other moments. "If you don't shed a tear while reading this story, then you probably don't have a soul. YES, it is that GOOD!!" says NINA FAULKS, MA, psychology.
In Tidewater Book Review's interview with Michael, he says, "I wrote the book to help others who have also been sexually molested, raped, or just a victim of child abuse in general. We need to have a voice and with the publication of this book, I am speaking for everyone who as ever been a victim of any type of child abuse."
Michael Cavicante lives with his wife of 21 years and their two precious kids in Chesapeake, VA.
