New Dallas-Area Award Program to Recognize Excellence in Communications
DALLAS, July 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Dallas Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) announced today the call for entries for its new Pegasus Awards program recognizing outstanding public relations and strategic communications efforts in the Dallas area.
Named for the legendary red Pegasus atop the iconic Magnolia Hotel, the unique program offers PRSA members, non-members and students alike the opportunity to be recognized for excellence in communications. Awards can also be submitted for Accredited in Public Relations (APR) maintenance credits. In its inaugural year, program and project entries implemented within the last 18 months (Jan. 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013) will be accepted.
The entry categories are as follows:
- Community Relations
- Reputation/Brand Management (proactive or reactive)
- Events and Observances
- Internal Communications
- Marketing Communications
- Media Relations
- Social Media
- Publications
The deadline to enter is Aug. 16, 2013, with a reduced rate for early-bird submissions received prior to Friday, Aug. 2, 2013. Winners will be announced at the Pegasus Awards Banquet, held in conjunction with the PRSA Dallas Communications Summit, on Oct. 11, 2013.
