New DyAnsys® Inc. Solution Relieves Long-term Chronic Pain without Narcotics

SAN FRANCISCO, May 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Chronic pain sufferers may find relief with a new, safe and effective non-narcotic treatment solution released by medical device maker DyAnsys, Inc. The company announced today that the four-piece system will be available in select doctors' offices and pain management centers.

The core of the treatment solution is the ANSiStim™, a small device worn behind the ear to administer continuous pulses of low-level electrical current to nerve endings in the ear. These travel through the blood stream inhibiting pain throughout the body. Pain reduction increases circulation and causes relaxation. Patients are monitored with a handheld ANSiScope^®. Measurements taken with the ANSiScope are automatically captured on the device as an electronic patient record. The patient's vital signs and other information can be manually added to create an easily transferable integrated record. The placement of the electrodes is determined by the ANSiStim Locator™, used to find the best aural stimulation points based on where the patient has had pain. The ANSiStim Tester™ assures physicians and patients that the ANSiStim is working correctly. The placement of the ANSiStim takes about ten minutes. Patients continually wear the light, unobtrusive device for four days while they go about their activities. A new ANSiStim is applied every week by the health care provider. Total treatment typically takes ten to twelve weeks.

The ANSiStim is the next generation of the company's effective Point Stimulation Therapy System, which has been in clinical use for several years. In addition to being used to treat chronic pain, ANSiStim can be used for post-operative pain therapy.
