New fellowship-trained shoulder and elbow surgeon available in Denver

DENVER, Sept. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Benjamin W. Sears is the newest orthopaedic surgeon to join the expert team of doctors at Western Orthopaedics, located at 1830 Franklin Street, Suite 450, in Denver.

As a fellowship-trained shoulder and elbow doctor, Dr. Sears' practice focuses on the diagnosis and nonsurgical and surgical treatment of a variety of shoulder and elbow injuries and conditions. He specializes in performing shoulder and elbow replacement surgery, shoulder instability repair, rotator cuff repair procedures and fracture care.

A native of Colorado, Dr. Sears received his undergraduate degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo., before completing his master of science in pharmacology at Tulane University in New Orleans, La. He received his medical degree from Loyola University Medical Center, Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Ill., where he also completed orthopaedic residency training. Dr. Sears received advanced training in shoulder and elbow care during his fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.
