New Funding Available for Multifamily Weatherization Program
DENVER, July 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Grant applications are now being accepted for the 2010-11 multifamily weatherization program offered through the Colorado Governor's Energy Office (GEO) and Energy Outreach Colorado.

Qualifying projects must have five or more housing units and a central heating system. Applications are due by Friday, Aug. 13. Program details and the online application are available at http://www.energyoutreachcolorado.org/geo_overview.
Energy Outreach Colorado, a nonprofit that raises funds for energy assistance and energy efficiency improvements for affordable housing and nonprofits, is administering the GEO program to improve the energy efficiency and reduce utility costs of affordable, multi-family housing. The program is funded through the Department of Energy and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
"The goal of the 2010-11 program is to weatherize as many as 750 homes," said Jennifer Gremmert, deputy director of Energy Outreach Colorado.
