New Hollywood Movie Option for 'Schmoozing with Terrorists'

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif., Feb. 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The movie rights to "Schmoozing with Terrorists," the best-selling book by WND Jerusalem bureau chief Aaron Klein, have been optioned to a Hollywood company.

"We are excited about obtaining the rights to develop this project," said Christopher Grey, owner of Katt Productions, which purchased the title and is seeking to turn the action-packed book into a feature film.

"Schmoozing with Terrorists: From Hollywood to the Holy Land, Jihadists Reveal their Global Plans - to a Jew" documents the true story of a Jewish reporter obtaining unprecedented access to some of the most dangerous terrorist organizations in the world, traveling into hazardous terrorist zones and talking directly to the jihadists themselves about some of the most pressing issues today.

The book made headlines after terrorists interviewed by Klein made threats against pop stars Madonna and Britney Spears.

Klein, WND's senior reporter, is known for his interviews with Islamic terrorists.  He has conducted in-person interviews with leaders of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and the Popular Resistance Committees, as well as other groups.

During the 2008 Presidential campaign, Klein conducted a live radio interview with a chief of Hamas who expressed "hope" Barack Obama would win the elections.  That interview became a theme of the election season, with both Obama and his opponent, Sen. John McCain, repeatedly trading barbs over Hamas' comments to Klein.

In 1999, at age 19, while serving as editor-in-chief of Yeshiva University's student newspaper, Aaron Klein spent a weekend with an Islamic extremist group operating from London and allied with al-Qaida.  The leader of the group, Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad, has since been expelled from the UK.  Klein's article about the experience, titled, "My weekend with the enemy," was published in multiple newspapers, including the Jerusalem Post and the Boston Globe.
