Mr. Pladek joins New Jersey Lawyers Service from Guaranteed Subpoena, where he served as chief operating officer, prior to which he served as publisher of New Jersey Lawyer and then as founder and publisher of NJESQ. Robert Pladek holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Bates College and a Juris Doctorate from Villanova School of Law.
Pladek replaces Joe Bottitta, who successfully led the company since 2000. Under his leadership, New Jersey Lawyers Service expanded rapidly into process service, and it is now one of the three largest in the state of New Jersey. Mr. Bottitta is also part of the founding management team of eLaw, a popular case management platform and key source of critical knowledge for legal professionals that is also one of Lawyers Service's sister companies. Prior to joining Lawyers Service, he was president of the New Jersey State Bar Association and an attorney in private practice. He plans to return to private practice, but will continue to consult with the company in a business development role.
