New Orleans Marriott Announces New Director of Sales and Marketing Scott Jernstrom brings 30 years of experience in operations, marketing, sales, catering and convention services in the hospitality and commercial real estate industry

He spent significant time with Wardman Park Marriott in Washington, D.C. as director of corporate group sales and director of catering and convention services and served as director of sales at Baltimore Marriott Waterfront. In addition, Jernstrom acquired vast experience in hospitality consulting with a focus on improving sales effectiveness and results.

Jernstrom holds a B.S. in hotel management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, MA, as well as an Associate's Degree from the College of Culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales College in Providence, RI.

Since his arrival at the New Orleans hotel in July, Jernstrom has been working hard to create a guest-centered, results-driven atmosphere.
