AHT Hosts Symposium 2014 in Dallas from September 22-25
JACKSON, Miss., Sept. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- American HealthTech (www.healthtech.net), a Jackson, Mississippi-based leader in LTPAC EHR software, announces its annual user conference headlined by new product news and key thought leaders and executives from the long-term post-acute care industry. American HealthTech customers come together for several information packed days of networking, education and sharing of best practices at Symposium 2014. This year's conference will be held at the Renaissance Hotel in Dallas from September 22-25, 2014.
This year's program lineup reflects the confidence and energy of an industry that has adapted to a changing healthcare landscape in the United States, and has become more automated and data-driven than ever before. Featured speakers and programs include:
- The unveiling of AHT Work Center, part of a new Responsive Product Roadmap strategy focused on delivering client-centric solutions based on customer needs, market changes and technology solutions built to maximize facility benefit with minimal disruption.
- Governor Mark Parkinson, President and CEO of the American Healthcare Association, who has formerly served as the 45th Governor of the state of Kansas, as well as developing and operating numerous long-term care facilities.
- Dr. Josh Luke, founder of the National Readmission Prevention Collaborative and a member of the editorial staff from McKnight's Long Term Care News.
- American HealthTech President Teresa Chase will deliver a keynote session exploring AHT's focused efforts to deliver product and service offerings to keep pace with evolving market demands.
- A first-ever Executive Forum, moderated by McKnight's Long-Term Care News, the leading publication in the long-term care industry, will bring together key industry leaders and executives from within both AHT and its customer base, to discuss current challenges and future trends in the industry.
- Education session tracks focused on key business trends in Long Term Care - Collaborative Care and Outcomes, Technology Solutions, Interoperability and more.
AHT President Teresa Chase notes that this year's Symposium will be another strong year for both customer and partner attendance. "We have appropriately themed Symposium 'Momentum,'" said Chase. "This seems more than appropriate, especially at a time where the vast majority of long-term care facilities have now implemented EHRs and related technology, and our own customer base is larger and stronger than ever. We have the opportunity to explore where the industry is heading in a post-data world. The caliber of speakers and program events we are featuring this year reflects how vibrant long-term and post-acute care is in the aftermath of ACA and the transition to healthcare automation."
