With the app, users can create free and paid events for their friends to attend as well as take and post combined videos and pictures throughout the night to share with their inner circle. Within the Footspot app, you are entered into a new social media world where users are known as spotting and their followers as spotters. Users can add their contacts to the app and have their friends, family and others follow them. The app allows users to find contacts via their username or by geographic location and send invites to those they want to add. Once a contact accepts 'spotting the user', then this new spotter is added to an established group, which can be broken down by any special group name that is created for optimal organization.
The Footspot app then allows users to create free events or paid events. Within the live map section, a simple tap of a pin allows users to choose a location and date for the event as well as details such as start/end times and whether it's a free/paid event. If it's a paid event, the user can then set the ticket price. Once the event is set up, the user then chooses the spotters they wish to attend and the app sends an invitation automatically. Spotters simply click that they are going if they chose to attend.
