Dr. Colman obtained his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh. He undertook a fellowship in pediatric and adult musculoskeletal oncology at Harvard University and sought out further training as a fellow in orthopedic and neurosurgical spine surgery at the University of Utah.
"There are many types of spine tumors," says Dr. Colman, an orthopedic surgeon at MOR. "Some are cancerous and require a multidimensional approach involving radiation therapy and maybe even surgery. But many patients are surprised when I tell them their tumor may be benign and we can monitor it over time or treat it in a minimally invasive way."
Dr. Colman specializes in treating the full spectrum of spinal tumors, including sarcoma, chordoma, and metastatic carcinoma. He sees patients at 1611 West Harrison Street, Suite 400, Chicago; and 9200 Calumet Avenue, Suite 300, Munster, Indiana. To make an appointment, call: 844 SPINE09 (844.774.6309).
