New Waterproof Plastic Electronic Enclosure Series Available

AVON, Ohio, April 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The ML Series of waterproof plastic enclosures for electronics is now available from Polycase. A UL 508-4X listing is pending on the enclosures. Designed for outdoor applications, the ML Series cases are molded in light gray UV-stabilized polycarbonate and offer a clear distortion-free polycarbonate cover option. The ML Series cover has a standard recessed smooth finish that makes it ideal for graphic overlays or membrane keypads. The cases are currently available in two sizes: the ML-47F, a 7.6" x 4.6" x 3.0" enclosure, and the ML-57F, an 8.7" x 5.2" x 3.3" enclosure. Both sizes include molded on surface-mounting flanges, plastic mounting bosses, and brass inserts for cover on/off convenience.

A form-fitting silicone gasket makes the ML Series ideal for use in a wide range of environmental conditions, protecting internal electronic components from dust, dirt and water. The ML series has a flame rating of UL94V-0 and is conducive to temperature ranges of -40 degrees C to 120 degrees C. Optional NEMA 4X cable glands are also available in seven sizes, accommodating cables ranging from .118" to .945" in diameter. Cable glands are required to maintain the waterproof seal where cables enter or exit the enclosure. Polycase offers CNC machining and custom printing on all enclosures.
