New Website Helps Massachusetts Consumers Learn How to Obtain Hardship Licenses
FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Sept. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Massachusetts Hardship License Attorney Brian E. Simoneau is pleased to announce the launch of a new resource for those seeking hardship driver's licenses in Massachusetts. Although not always easy to obtain, these licenses are authorized by law to allow those whose driver's licenses have been suspended or revoked to continue to drive, subject to certain limitations. These special licenses are issued in situations where convictions for drunk driving, drug offenses, various surchargeable events, and being a habitual traffic offender have resulted in the suspension of a person's driver's license. In these cases, qualified candidates can apply for hardship licenses. These restricted licenses grant limited driving privileges which are based on the person's need to drive for work, school, or medical reasons. Sometimes called "Cinderella licenses," due to their 12 hour driving limits, these work licenses can be critical, as they allow people who have initially lost their ability to drive to keep their jobs – and support themselves and those who depend upon them.
Attorney Simoneau, an experienced hardship license attorney, has developed and launched http://hardshiplicenselawyer.com, a new website which will serve as a valuable resource to those seeking hardship licenses from the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles or the Massachusetts Division of Insurance Board of Appeal. The new Hardship License Lawyer site contains news and information regarding all aspects of the hardship license appeal and RMV hearing process. It includes information on what the Massachusetts Registry requires for proof of employment and the criteria which the Mass. RMV and Board of Appeal apply in considering hardship license requests.
"I am happy to help deserving drivers get back on the road legally, by providing them with guidance, information, and legal presentation in hardship license appeals," said Massachusetts Attorney Brian Simoneau.
This new electronic legal resource will allow drivers who have lost their licenses to educate themselves regarding the hardship licensing process in Massachusetts and it will serve as a guide to the license reinstatement process which spans such activities as attending a Registry or Board of Appeal hearing, attending an alcohol program, paying outstanding fines and fees, having an ignition interlock device installed, taking National Safety Council driver re-training classes, and possibly having to re-take and pass written and road tests.
Massachusetts DUI and hardship licensing laws are extremely complex and often confuse attorneys who do not practice in this specialized area of law. The new hardship license lawyer website will inform both lawyers and laymen regarding what is required to obtain a hardship license or a full reinstatement of driving privileges.
