Earn $5.00 Store Credit for Each Bottle Returned
PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Philadelphia Distilling, producer of award-winning Bluecoat Gin, Penn 1681 Vodka, the XXX Shine Whiskey Range, Vieux Carre Absinthe, and The Bay Seasoned Vodka, is partnering with Save Some Green, which provides household consumers and businesses with easy access to environmentally friendly products and services.
Beginning January 1st, 2014, our customers can bring empty bottles from any Philadelphia Distilling brand to the Save Some Green store, located at 2005 Chestnut Street in Center City Philadelphia. Customers will receive a five-dollar store credit for each bottle. Philadelphia Distilling is going to sanitize and reuse the bottles, saving thousands of bottles from a landfill.
With both an online and physical store, Save Some Green offers everything from toxin-free cleaners to sustainably produced bedding and linens. They also provide eco-friendly services, including inexpensive composting and recycling opportunities.
This new program, directly involving customers in sustainable business practices, is only part of Philadelphia Distilling's broad commitment to promoting eco-friendly business practices: "Green-thinking is a big part of our approach to craft distilling," said company president and co-founder Andrew Auwerda. "Now we're reaching out to the Philadelphia community to help us reduce waste."
