Newport Corporation Announces Participation in Two Investor Conferences in September

IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Newport Corporation (NASDAQ: NEWP) today announced that its senior management is scheduled to participate in the following investor conferences:

On Wednesday, September 12, Charles F. Cargile , Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will present at the Deutsche Bank dbAccess 2012 Technology Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The discussion will begin at 11:40 A.M. Pacific time (2:40 P.M.
