WALLDORF, Germany, Nov. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- SAP NEWSBYTE -- SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today announced three new courses delivered on the openSAP platform to guide users through the transformative effects experienced as a result of using iOS technology, machine learning and SAP S/4HANA® to implement everyday business processes. These courses come in addition to the recent release of "Upgrade of Systems Based on SAP NetWeaver® – Advanced Topics," which investigates the latest tools and features essential for SAP® software system upgrades and maintenance.
The new courses on openSAP will cover how the partnership between SAP and Apple is optimizing the use of iOS technology for end-to-end business processes. They also provide users an in-depth look at how machine learning is giving rise to new intelligent applications. The online courses include:
- SAP Fiori® for iOS – An Introduction: The recent partnership forged between SAP and Apple will enable developers to build quickly their own native apps for Apple iOS devices. Business decision makers, UX designers and others can use this course to gain insight into the SAP Fiori for iOS design language, which extends the design foundation provided by SAP Fiori software to achieve a native iOS experience. The course provides insight into SAP HANA® Cloud Platform SDK for iOS. The course will be available on the openSAP platform starting Nov. 15.
- Enterprise Machine Learning in a Nutshell: Over seven units, students will gain an understanding of the importance of machine learning for enterprise computing, as well as an awareness of advances in the technology. Business decision makers will be able to leverage this knowledge to transform their data assets into business value. The course will be available on the openSAP platform starting Nov. 14.
- Extending SAP S/4HANA with SAP HANA Cloud Platform: Customers using SAP S/4HANA and developers interested in learning how to extend SAP S/4HANA will be able to build extensions with SAP HANA Cloud Platform. Based on an end-to-end business scenario, participants learn how to extend SAP S/4HANA by improving user experience with SAP Web IDE and the SAP Fiori user experience. They learn how to apply analytical scenarios with the SAP HANA platform and the SAP BusinessObjects™ Cloud solution as well as collaborative scenarios with the SAP Jam™ social software platform. The course is now open for enrollment and starts in January 2017.
"We are confident that the addition of these courses will allow users to fully grasp the SAP Fiori for iOS design language, understand the power of machine learning as a solution for enterprises and learn how to extend SAP S/4HANA," said Bernd Welz; executive vice president; Scale, Enablement and Transformation; SAP SE.
