Nexeo Solutions and Borealis sign distribution agreement for North America

THE WOODLANDS, Texas, Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Nexeo Solutions, a global leader in plastics distribution, and Borealis, a leading provider of chemical and innovative plastics solutions, announced today that they have signed a distribution agreement to offer Bormed™ products, dedicated to healthcare applications in North America.

Nexeo Solutions has had a longstanding partnership with Borealis in Europe, distributing its polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) throughout the region. Their distribution agreement has been expanded to include new products such as Borealis' Borstar® PP and PE solutions. Currently, Nexeo Solutions distributes 500+ Borealis products to over 3,000 customers throughout Europe. These solutions mainly serve the advanced packaging market but also include the automotive, healthcare and infrastructure sectors.

The partnership's continued success has been the result of notable improvements including the centralization and automation of transactional processes and the improved alignment of marketing activities.

Building on this experience, the two companies are looking forward to providing premium products and service to customers in the USA.
