BALTIMORE, June 16, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Lisa Rusyniak, Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, Inc. current Chief Operating Officer, has been named as the local non-profits next President and CEO.
Ms. Rusyniak will assume the new position at years end (December 2011) when current President
and CEO, Marge Thomas steps down.
Ms. Rusyniak began her career with Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, Inc. back in 1997 when she was hired as the agency's Director of Marketing and Disability Services. She quickly rose through the ranks and assumed her position as Chief Operating Officer in 2006.
As COO, Ms. Rusyniak oversees Goodwill's workforce development, human resources, and marketing and development divisions. She holds an undergraduate degree from Salisbury University and a Masters in Business Management from Wilmington University and has participated in The Greater Baltimore Committee's Leadership Program and Goodwill Industries International's Executive Development Program.
When asked about assuming the responsibility of running a multi-million dollar organization Ms. Rusyniak responded that she was eager to assume the challenges of her new position and thanked her mentor, Ms. Thomas, for helping her achieve such great success.
