NJVC Donates $50,000 to USO in First Year of National Philanthropic Partnership
Information Technology Company and Employees Raise Money for the USO through Variety of Fundraising Programs in 2012
CHANTILLY, Va., Feb. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NJVC®, an information technology solutions provider headquartered in northern Virginia, is proud to announce that the company and its employees raised $50,000 in 2012 in support of the USO (United Service Organizations)—the first year of this national philanthropic partnership.

Throughout 2012, the company held a variety of events to raise money for the USO of Metropolitan Washington and the USO of Missouri—including golf tournaments in the Washington and St. Louis metropolitan areas, "Jeans for GIs" (employees donated money for the privilege of wearing jeans to work every day for one month), ice cream socials and raffle sales (e.g., sporting tickets and computer and television equipment). NJVC employees also donated items on the holiday wish lists of children of active-duty, junior-enlisted military families through Project USO Elf. NJVC sponsored 50 children whose parents are based in the Washington metro region. Employees in St. Louis also donated hundreds of requested items for the USO of Missouri Soldiers Left Behind holiday care-package program.

"Without their assistance, more than 200 soldiers who were unable to go home for the holidays would not have received a gift bag on Christmas morning.
