NNYBlitzTaxi.com Launches the First Taxi-hailing Mobile App in Support of Small Business Taxi Companies in Northern New York

WATERTOWN, N.Y., June 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- It's no secret that ride-hailing companies such as Uber and Lyft have been given the go ahead to expand into upstate New York as early as this summer. A marketing campaign is already underway to build up a supply of drivers in the region. That's why a transportation mobility company just launched NNYBlitzTaxi.com, a taxi-hailing mobile application dedicated to helping small-business taxi companies compete in Northern New York.

The earliest possible date for arrival of ride-hailing companies in upstate New York is July 8. Passengers will be charged a 4 percent state "assessment fee" on each trip, as well as a 2.5 percent surcharge to cover worker's compensation costs for drivers. Nevertheless, ride-hailing companies have avowed to further a corporate and business strategy that will analyze the demand for ride-hailing requests and a supply of drivers to determine how they will emerge through cities in upstate.
