What: No Labels, a national grassroots movement of hundreds of thousands of Republicans, Democrats and independents dedicated to a new politics and attitude of problem solving, is hosting its Meeting to Make America Work! on January 14 at the Marriott Marquis in New York City.
Gov. Jon Huntsman (R-UT) and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) will be unveiled as the organization's new national leaders. They will be joined by an emerging group of congressional "problem solvers" and 1,300 citizens from across the country. Newark Mayor Cory Booker will also be speaking at the event, along with many other notable business and political leaders.
The first of its kind, the Meeting to Make America Work! will bring together Republicans, Democrats and independents to discuss the importance of working across the aisle to solve our nation's most pressing problems. Another "first of its kind" is the creation of the new congressional problem solvers -- a group of House and Senate members who have committed to meeting regularly to build trust across the aisle. This group will make its first public appearance at the Meeting to Make America Work!
