Nominations Solicited for 2013 Regulatory Innovation Award, Selection Committee Announced
NEW YORK, Nov. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Morrison & Foerster LLP announced it has opened the nominations process and named a selection committee for the 2013 Regulatory Innovation Award. Morrison & Foerster established the award in 2008 through the Burton Foundation to honor an academic or non-elected public official whose innovative ideas have made a significant contribution to the discourse on regulatory reform in the areas of corporate governance, securities, capital markets or financial institutions.

The selection committee consists of members of academia, former regulators and members of the financial institutions community.
This year's selection committee includes:
- Sharon Brown-Hruska is a Vice President in the Securities and Finance Practice of National Economic Research Associates (NERA).
- John Buchman is a Professorial Lecturer in Law at the George Washington University Law School and also a Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of E*TRADE Bank.
- Donald Langevoort is the Thomas Aquinas Reynolds Professor of Law at the Georgetown Law Center.
- Suzanne McGee is a New York-based financial journalist, a contributing editor to Barron's and author of Chasing Goldman Sachs, a book about the causes of the financial crisis.
- Dr. Peter Went is a vice president and senior researcher at the Global Association of Risk Professionals Research Center.
