SOUTH NORWALK, Conn., Feb. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- As non-profit organizations around the country look for turnkey fundraising opportunities, a new energy company has created a program to provide consistent funding. North American Power (NAP), a leading alternative energy company that helps consumers take advantage of deregulated rates, is pledging to grow their innovative .Org program in line with company growth in 2011.
How It Works
Consumers can now give to their favorite non-profits, while saving money on their electric bill, by switching to North American Power.
The concept is simple: when non-profit supporters switch using their favorite organization's dedicated NAPower.org web site, the organization receives a one-time donation of $10 per person plus two dollars per month* for each supporter that signs on. An organization with 500 members could earn $5,000 in bonuses, plus an additional $12,000 a year*.
"Our .Org program gives customers the chance to support their favorite organizations by building philanthropy into everyday spending," says North American Power president Kerry Breitbart.
This month, NAP pledged $25,000 to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Connecticut Chapter via presenting sponsorship of the 2011 Walk MS.
The company extended its support with an offer for new and existing customers: participate in the walk or sponsor a participant, and NAP will donate $10 toward your fundraising total. New customers can sign up to switch and earn the donation at www.NAPowerFightsMS.org, and existing customers can earn their donation on the dedicated web site as well.
