Not Your Typical Party Dress: Design Students Unveil High-Fashion Gowns Made From Tablecloths, Napkins and Party Accessories

LAS VEGAS, Feb. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Satin, sequins, lace and burlap: wedding tablecloths or high fashion?  Students at the International Academy of Design and Technology, Las Vegas, have risen to a design challenge to take the latest fabrics in party linens such as tablecloths, napkins, table runners, clips and bows, and design completed gowns for runway models at a Las Vegas fashion show.

The designs were commissioned by the American Rental Association (ARA) and table linen suppliers exhibiting at the ARA's annual The Rental Show, February 10-13, 2013, Las Vegas.

"Wedding and event planners and their customers don't have to settle for traditional white linen tablecloths," says Allison Box , The Rental Show organizer. "There is a new, colorful and sophisticated level of products available, and these students have been inspired by them. Their creativity and talent is amazing."

The models wore stunning gowns that were hand sewn from table linens to inspire brides and party planners with enough glitz and glam to make their own events a special occasion.
